3D Wax Printing

Stanier has a modern 3D Systems Projet 3510 CPX Plus wax printer to enable the production of high quality detailed castings. Castings may be done in two definitions or qualities. The standard resolution is suitable for most normal components, but the high resolution is necessary for extreme detail. The high resolution takes considerably longer to print, with an associated higher production charge.

Bespoke work can be accepted to print waxes from clients own CAD files and can either be delivered as waxes (not recommended in view of the brittle nature of the wax) or arranged to be cast using the lost wax process and delivered as a rough casting. Stanier will discuss any machining tolerances required.

Stanier uses these castings for production of its own components. Charges are based on the volumetric amount of wax required to print the component.
